The XTW6 takes one of the most popular styles of in-wall speaker to a new level of performance. Featuring the FMT XT and a 6.5” Kevlar woofer (with Nomex backer) the XTW6 offers incredible accuracy, clarity and more controlled dispersion. With the FMT XT’s 80° x 30° tweeter dispersion pattern, the XTW6 focuses and directs sound into the sweet spot of the room without letting it bleed as much into other areas of the room. This can be highly effective, especially in rooms with open floor plans or large windows, etc. allowing listeners to experience an otherwise unheard-of level of sound quality that won’t affect your room’s aesthetic. The MartinLogan Motion XT CI series takes performance to the next level over Motion CI. The Folded Motion XT tweeter gives each model in the Motion XT series even more of the clarity, output, and efficiency that the standard size FMT is famous for. With Motion XT, we wanted to increase all aspects of performance over the Motion series, so we didn’t just stop at the tweeter. All Motion XT models feature woven Kevlar woofers for increased rigidity and lightness which translates into better sound. In addition to the larger tweeter, and lighter, stronger woofers, MartinLogan’s design and engineering team has fitted the Motion XT series with a more substantial chassis to strengthen the speaker and provide a more accurate sound, like a better cabinet on a traditional speaker.
